We can donate our money and time towards national, state-based, and local organizations doing critical prison reform work. If you can’t financially support these organizations, you can get involved by leading life skills workshops in prisons, doing administrative tasks for reform organizations, transcribing prison radio shows, participating in an inside-out program, writing letters to currently incarcerated people, and volunteering at halfway houses. I’ve compiled a list of national and state-specific prison reform organizations. This list will continue to be added to and is by no means comprehensive.
